Spring is here!

Finally!!  I went on a crocus search today and found a bonus honey bee!!  Spring has officially arrived!

bring May flowers, I hope. If we get any more snow I’ll scream!

Frankie is my mother-in-law’s cat and he’s a very entertaining one. The stories about him are always entertaining. He recently learned to fetch and he’ll play over and over again. I look forward to his next story.

Will it ever come? I have to buy flowers to photograph! I can’t wait to see them actually growing outside.

Peace River Flood

Starting last evening, downtown Peace River started flooding from an ice jam in Pat’s Creek culvert which caused it to overflow.  I didn’t go into town as I didn’t want to get in the way but I took these from 12 Foot Davis Gravesite today.  If you view the photos at full size you can see where the water was.  They cut a slice through the berm to let all of the water out into the Peace River.  A little bit of excitement around here.

Happy Belated Birthday Mom!

I want to wish my Mom a big Happy 70th Birthday! We weren’t able to be together this year but I am always thinking of you and don’t worry, you don’t look a day over 60! I love you Mom!! A flower just for you!

Sorry for the delay in posts.  I have been busy getting ready for an exhibit of my photography at the Peace River Museum, Archives and Mackenzie Centre.  I am their  Artist of the Month for April.  You can read about me on their blog.  http://peacerivermuseum.blogspot.ca/  I’m pretty excited about it!  I took a picture of my display but it was taken with my old iphone so it is a bit blurry but here it is.
