These are my kids riding their bikes on the beach on holidays. The sun was setting and it was so peaceful. I wanted a silhouette picture of them so I used PSE9 and Topaz Adjust 4 to add the Dark – Ghostly filter.

Children Theme #46

Posted in Photography on September 19, 2011 by paintedmeadowsThis is a photo I took with my Lensbaby double glass optic. It is a dried orchid flower. I then put it into PSE9 with Topaz Adjust 4 and applied about 5 different filters (I lost track) to get what I feel is a comtemporary photo. I looked contemporary up on the web and it seems to be anything out of the norm or something so I hope this fits. My daughter hates it but I think it is kind of neat. The orchid was purple and cream colored before it dried out. lol.
City or Town Theme #51

Posted in Photography on September 16, 2011 by paintedmeadowsThis tree off my back deck shows the letter v in it’s trunk as well as in branches and also in the ropes for my hammock hanging off it. I used PSE9 with Topaz B&W and applied the Stylized Collection with adaptive diffusion filter. Our fall colors are starting to show up but not enough to make this picture feel as dramatic as I would like but it works for the V.
Stuffed Animals Theme #289
Posted in Photography on September 15, 2011 by paintedmeadowsThis lavender fairy bear is another one that I have made. She is 8 1/2″ tall, made from mohair, fully jointed and wears a wreath of hand made roses as well as has a wand topped with handmade roses. This is a little bear that I don’t think I will sell. She has become to special to me after the dear friend that gave all of the fabric to me passed away this spring from cancer. She will always remind me of Darlene. I just wanted to share her. I used PSE9 with Topaz B&W to apply Opalotype Milk Memories filter. I love the way she turned out.
Something About You Theme #277
Posted in Photography on September 14, 2011 by paintedmeadowsWell, something that most of you don’t know about me is that I am a bear artist. I make collectible teddy bears that are fully designed and handmade by myself. This little clown bear is less than 2″ tall not including his hat. He is fully jointed so his arms, legs and head move. I sell them on the web and have been making them for almost 16 years. My bears range in size from 1/4″ tall that fits in a lipstick tube to 29″ tall. I have bears in museums and books around the world but most of all I love creating them!! You can see some more of my bears and other critters on my website at http://www.lanctotsloveables.com. My fall project is do redesign my website and do all new photography of the bears. My bear christmas ornaments will come out soon. So that is “Something About Me!”. This photo was taken with my Lensbaby composer using the single glass optic and a macro lens. Then I used PSE9 and Topaz Adjust to apply the psychadellic (sp?) filter. Sorry about all of the spelling errors. Still not fully functioning.

Posted in Photography on September 13, 2011 by paintedmeadowsMr. Barney have a casual rest time. He is such a giant goofball that when he does this is makes me laugh. Sitting like this his head is higher than I am tall. I’m not a shorty either! I love my big boy!! I used PSE9 with Topaz B&W to apply filters but now I don’t remember which filters I applied. Sheesh, my mind is really going. I’ll have to start writing it down as I do it. Sorry.
