When I was taking the picture of the orange lily the other day I was crouched down in the grass next to one of our fields. After I was done taking the pictures I looked down to choose my footing (wearing flip flops) and what do I see but this tiny little spiderweb covered in dew hidden in the shadows of the other plants. I almost stepped on it. So glad I didn’t!

Posted in Photography on June 27, 2011 by paintedmeadowsI was down at the pond trying to get a picture of a fish jumping as they were like popcorn. Well, after waiting for a long time and getting alot of missed shots and rippling water these ducks (sorry, don’t know what kind) landed in front of me so I decided to photograph them instead and ended up catching a fish jumping in the background. So my challenge turned out to be triumph by accident!

Posted in Photography on June 22, 2011 by paintedmeadowsThis is a lily that grows wild around our fields. They are always in singles and I just love the colors of them. Isn’t it beautiful! If you look closely in the second shot you will see two tiny little flys and an ant. I didn’t even see them until I got the pictures home and on my computer. I am tempted to transplant a few of these flowers into my garden.
Relationship Theme #238
Posted in Photography on June 21, 2011 by paintedmeadowsI chose relationship for this group of photos because the clover needs the bee to pollinate it and the bee needs the flower to make honey and sustain it’s hive. To me this is a wonderful relationship. I took these pictures freehold with my 70mm-300mm telephoto lens. I am super happy with the way they came out!
