Misty / Foggy Theme #180

A misty/foggy morning not too far from our house.  I changed it to black and white to make it feel more moody.  I really have to get out today and take more pictures.  Having a hard time getting motivated though.  *sigh*

Pastel Theme #218

The beautiful pastel colors of this sunset in a sky clear of smoke were just beautiful!  It is a nice change.  The fires are finally getting under control.  I posted twice today because I missed yesterday’s post.  Forgive me?  :0)

 

 

 

Multiples Theme #190

These beautiful flowers are in a pot on my in-laws’ deck.  I just love everything about them from the shape to the colors to the multiples of them.  So pretty.

Religion Theme #240

This statue is an angel that my mother-in-law has on her deck.  Angels always remind me of church.  :0)  This one is resin so to try to make is more marblesque I upped the contrast, adjusted the shadows and highlights and then added a pencil sketch effect to it.  I really like how it turned out.

Smells Theme #273

One of my most favourites smells is lilacs!!  I love them so much.  My favourite color is purple so lilacs have it all covered!  :0)  This shrub is just off my back deck so I can smell them when I go out the back door.

Warped Theme #352

Yet another smokey sunset.  The varying thickness of smoke warped the sun and as beautiful as I think it is it is yet another reminder of the many forest fires burning in our province.  Today the residents of Slave Lake are being allowed back into their town where over 400 homes were burnt to the ground and many businesses were lost.  My heart goes out to them.

Heartwarming Theme #141

What is more heartwarming than a baby!  I have finally named our new little one.  Since the last thing that her mom, June Bug ate before foaling was a peppermint that my daughter fed her we decided to call her Peppermint Patty!!  Isn’t she adorable?  She is 19 3/4″ tall at her shoulder and can walk right under her mom.  So sweet!!  We have all fallen in love.  How can you not?  Really?

Restful Theme #244

June Bug foaled an adorable but sleepy little filly about 1 1/2 hours ago.  She was about 1 hour old in this picture.  She is working hard at learning to stand and needed a nap.  I promise better pictures later.  Just wanted to share!!

Mood Theme #181

This is June Bug again.  Still waiting on that foal.  I think the look in her eye projects a mood of calmness.  She has foaled before and knows what this is all about.  Now I wish she would just get down to it.

Round Theme #248

This is my new gazing ball in the rain.  I love the colors and design.  It is also supposed to glow in the dark but I have yet to see that.  Still waiting on that foal.
